An Infinity Mirror is a mirror illusion that has a pattern that goes on and on for eternity.
Infinity Mirrors are designed to give the illusion that the lights within them are trailing off into the abyss, continuing forever into infinity and beyond. This is achieved through the placement of your LED lights between the glass two-way mirror panels. A beam of light is bouncing back and forth between the reflective surfaces to create the illusion. Each successive reflection adds the perception of distance travelled to the illusion, it adds to the distance to the length the light must travel. This series of repeating images is known as Gabriel’s Horn or Torricelli’s Trumpet.
It takes two perfectly parallel mirrors positioned across from one another to achieve this visual effect. If one is slightly out of place, you will instead have your lights curving endlessly to one side or the other.
