In September 1980, Questacon began with 15 exhibits as a project of The Australian National University at the Ainslie Public School in Canberra. By the mid-1980s, Questacon had achieved national and international recognition as Australia’s first interactive science centre. On 23 November 1988, Questacon was officially opened in Canberra to become Australia’s largest science centre. Since then, over 10 million people have visited and been inspired by science.

The 30th anniversary putty is a distinctive lime green, and once we run out, there will be no more! So if you are looking for a new colour to try in our fantastic putty range, now is your chance to get your hands on a new colour available for a limited time only. Whether you stretch it out sloooowly, break it suddenly, or even roll it into a ball and bounce it, the possibilities of what the Questacon Bouncing Putty can do are endless! Great for budding sculptors, the putty is easy to mould into countless shapes, designs and creations.
