The Crookes radiometer consists of a glass bulb where most of the air has been removed creating a partial vacuum. Fur balanced vanes are contained inside the bulb, polished on one side and black on the other.

Expose the radiometer to artificial light and heat, or sunlight and observe as the vanes begin to spin without any apparent motive power. Once the radiometer starts to cool, the vanes will commence spinning in the opposite direction.

What's included: 1 x Crookes Radiometer - no batteries required

Dimensions: 400mm x 250mm x 235mm
