The Wright Brothers airplane, Wright Flyer I, was the first powered flight recorded on December 17, 1903. Constructed from Spruce wood, muslin cloth and an engineered gasoline engine the airplane flew a mere 36.5m and about 6m high! For someone with an interest in aeronautical history, an aviation buff, a pilot, or just as a beautiful object with the satisfaction of knowing you built it yourself, the Metal Earth Wright Brothers Airplane would be a worthy addition to a collection, or a great place to start one!
The Metal Earth series are amazing 3D models to build from laser cut steel sheets.
We stock several flight-related items from the Metal Earth range. Why not collect them all? Incredibly detailed, these fascinating models are definitely a challenge to build. Care and patience are required, but the results are well worth the effort. Long-nosed pliers are also recommended (not included). This is one of the simpler models in our range, and takes less than an hour to complete.
Recommended for ages 14 years and over. Due to their small size, Metal Earth models should be kept out of the reach of children under three years of age.
