Tom Saunder’s take on Neil Armstrong’s journey to get to the moon. I Want to go to the Moon is a lovely book about overcoming adversity and reaching your goals, even if they are reaching for the stars.
I Want to Go to the Moon follows Neil’s journey from a baby to an adult to get to the moon. Read along as Neil faces opposition from everyone including his parents, teachers, friends and scientists telling him that going to the moon can’t be done, although he’s desperate to prove them wrong. The short and rhyming sentences make this a perfect book for teaching children about persistence and working hard to reach your goals and dreams.
The colourful illustrations will keep readers constantly engaged throughout the story while an included music CD of the story being told through song will have everyone singing the catchy chorus in no time. This book is a perfect bedtime story.
Recommended for ages six and over. Not suitable for children under three years of age.
