The Black Death bacteria (Yersinia pestis) was identified as responsible for an outbreak of plague in Asia in 1894. While no-one is sure whether it also was the culprit for earlier plagues, it seems likely. Antibiotic resistance could allow another epidemic someday, but for now just enjoy this cuddly version. A fun gift for anyone in medical fields. Giant Microbes also make excellent teaching aids as they assist students to visualise by taking a fun, hands on approach.
Not for children under three years of age as parts may dislodge and become a choking hazard.
Black Death is 155 x 65 x 45mm, made of black (naturally!) medium pile polyester plush with polyester filling and plastic eyes.
