Frilled neck lizards are native to northern Australia and southern New Guinea and are named due to the large frill around their neck. They use the frill to scare off predators, defend their territory and to impress a potential mate. The Frilled Lizard Robot Kit lets you test your engineering skills while putting together your own exotic pet that is super easy to look after and looks just like the real thing.
The robot kit comes with everything you need to construct the lizard with the help of a detailed 38 page instruction guide. The guide takes you step-by-step through joining the plastic pieces and includes a troubleshooting section at the end. The lizard has two modes – an ‘escape’ mode that prompts it to brighten its eyes, stand up the frill, open its mouth and run away whenever the infrared sensor detects your presence, and a ‘follow-me’ mode which instructs the lizard to follow you around, as a real pet might.
This is the perfect kit to develop construction and engineering skills, while getting an awesome, easy to look after pet in the process!
