The Clip Circuit Electro Lab is the perfect way for primary school aged children to learn the basics of electronics and circuits. The 26 page instructions manual aids in the construction of the colour coded components to complete a basic clip circuit board then let the experiments begin! The purpose of the experiments is to learn about different electronic configurations by building them and powering them which reinforces the learning through kinesthetics.
After construction use the magnet-controlled and switch controlled systems to operate a lamp; flying fan; electric motor; and LED. Experiment by changing the circuits configuration to operate these plus various sound effects. Configurations include- parallel; series; one way conductivity; a series connection and a series parallel. The manual guides the builder through these various power systems and configurations to provide a wide range of lights sounds and movement (fan) combinations which effectively demonstrate the basics of electronic circuits through the action. Some of the exciting sounds switched on with corresponding flashing lights are police sirens, ambulance and game machine.
The 25 piece clip circuits and components come in a box that clearly labels the items so you will know if you are missing something. The diagramatic instructions manual makes the construction and experimentation of the clip circuit board easy for the recommended age range of 7-12 years. Requires four x AA batteries not included in the kit. Not suitable for children under three years of age due to choking hazard of some smaller parts.
Looking for a greater challenge, then proceed to the largest in the Clip Circuit range - The 180 Advanced Lab has a larger range of operating powered systems, functions and experiments.
