Candida lives in over 80 percent of the population, but watch out if it transforms into it aggressive counterpart!
Candida is a commonly occurring fungus that lives naturally on the skin, in the mucous membranes and the gastrointestinal tract. If the normal balance of microorganisms is disrupted through such things as illness or diet, this fungus can change from benign to aggressive, and cause such uncomfortable conditions as oral thrush, inflamed skin, and genital yeast infections.
Giant Microbes make excellent teaching aids as they assist students to develop an understanding of biology while taking a fun, hands on approach.
Not for children under three years of age as parts may dislodge and become a choking hazard.
Candida is 230mm long, 190mm wide and 50mm thick, made of white medium-pile polyester plush with polyester filling and plastic eyes.
